Giltspur Scientific Ltd announce Dalmilling Primary School are winners
Dalmilling Primary School in Harthall, Ayr is the lucky winner of a new football kit for their school team. Children from primary schools in Ayrshire were given the opportunity to complete a dairy farming focused wordsearch to be included in a prize draw.
The competition was launched in October by Giltspur Scientific Ltd. Based in Ballyclare, Northern Ireland, Giltspur Scientific Ltd., was established in 1991. The founder and managing director, Dr Ernest Logan invented the renowned plastic orthopaedic shoe for dairy cows known throughout the world as Cowslips. Exported to seventeen countries worldwide, the shoes have improved the welfare of millions of dairy cows by reducing the pain inflicted by lameness, and have helped to minimise the negative impact on milk production. Giltspur Scientific were pleased to help keep Dalmilling football team, and dairy cows on their feet! Team coach, Mr McPherson said the children enjoyed the activity and were delighted to have won. He also added that the school is in need of a new kit! Councillor Davies, South Ayrshire Council’s Portfolio Holder for Lifelong Learning said: “It is great news that the football team at Dalmilling Primary School now have new kit. I am sure that the children will wear it with pride, especially seeing as they won it through the skilled way in which they completed the dairy farming wordsearch.” |
